VALENTINE'S DAY 2009

For Valentine's Day this year, we decided to eat dinner at our favorite restaurant. It is called Pixie & Bill's and it is located in Clemson, SC. If you ever come through this way, check it out.

Of course, I had to take pictures. Before we left, we took a couple of self-pictures which always turn out hysterical. The one of us above is in the Jeep right before we left. I told Will that I thought it would be sweet to have a kiss on the cheek picture. What was supposed to be a romantic shot turned into a picture of us looking drunk. It definitely shows "us". We are dorky that way.

Once we arrived, we discovered that our reservation time was listed as 8:00, even though they told us 7:30. They decided to go ahead and sit us, but we ended up near the kitchen. Will pouted for at least 10 minutes. He will comment on this blog and say he wasn't pouting, but he was. I think I know that man after 15 years of marriage.

Our waiter was quite the character. Think Jack from Will & Grace. After he gave us an endless list of seafood specials, we both ordered steak and potatoes. For dessert, we shared a Snicker's pie which was very, very good.

The picture of us above leaning over the dessert was taken after I told the waiter that it was our first date. He clutched his chest and said, "Awwwww…..that is sooooooo sweet!" Will stuttered and stammered trying to tell him I was joking, but he was gone in a flash. It was extremely funny.

After we received our check, we washed dishes to pay for it, and headed home. Another Valentine's Day, come and gone.

I wasn't doing that. I had requested a nice spot. No seat by the kitchen or bathroom. I wanted a nice quiet spot by ourselves. Instead, the couple beside us listened to our entire conversation and because the waiters were coming in and out of the kitchen, I had to ask you to repeat everything you said. You would think that by calling in the reservation three weeks in advance, it would be right. Anyway, we still had a good time.
